I am sitting here thinking “I just KNOW she will be inundated with emails from people with disabilities thinking she is making light of a serious issue”. To preempt that….People, she’s a good mom, leave her alone. Kids play. Mine played gladiators and none of them are actually gladiators, nor were they making fun of anyone.
PS…that face is undeniably adorable :-)
I am a wheelchair user and I didn’t think that all. I think his play is cute. There is too much daily REAL crap to deal with to dig deep to find an offence here.
You would be surprised at how some people think.
It’s sad that some feel they need to be victims to be happy.

And how great that he sees someone in a wheelchair as so normal that he would imagine and play that he was in one.
That’s the result of some mighty fine parenting.
I agree, I LOVE that he ‘plays’ wheelchair…my middle child’s best friend has a genetic disorder-and to her, that is normal. I LOVE it….we train them now to embrace differences and perhaps as they get older they will help educate their peers and we can take the wind out of the bully’s sails!
Knowing what I know of his mother Squirt will be well adjusted when he grows up.
Wish more kids had parents like his.. and no I don’t want anything I’m just saying.
