Nerdy Apple Bottom

I had the dumb luck to get in touch with Vixen Pin Up Photography a couple of weeks ago. Nikki and Candy graciously offered to do some photos for me for my blog. We met briefly to hammer out details and talk look and then set a date for 2 weeks later.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t incredibly excited. I had to stop thinking about it as 2 weeks seemed so far away. But I busied myself making lists (I do love lists) and getting together all of the items I would need. Since my shoot was going to be pretty specific, we had planned a lot of the details in advance. I mean, it isn’t like they’d have ten pounds of Granny Smith apples just laying around. Plus of course I would need a mani/pedi beforehand. And my brows waxed. Oh, and my hair trimmed. Luckily I had a lot to check off on my lists to keep me occupied.

Then the big day came. There was a bit of last minute scrabbling as the Detective needed to get Peanut to soccer, but I needed to get to the shoot. Then of course we have the other two shorties too. Fortunately my kick-ass mother-in-law loaned me her car and offered to watch the boys. Booya!

Off to the studio. Because they totally beautify you, you have to show up with fresh, dry hair without product and no makeup. Thus, my before picture looks a lot like the Bride of Frankenstein.

The studio is almost as adorable as Nikki and Candy. They also have an adorable, voluptuous Boston Terrier named Clara. Unfortunately I forgot to get her picture. I think she’s warming up to me though. Here are a few pics of the space:

Then we went straight into hair and make up. It was the most amazing transformation. They were quick, skilled, and witty to boot.

I have about 40-11 pictures in this post so I’ll wrap this one up and do a second one with the outstanding results.
