Above is a picture of the care package that Warner Bros sent to Boo. They contacted me after the infamous post went viral. I honestly figured they would send a couple of DVDs (probably ones we already own as we own a LOT, but we could keep one set in the house and one in the van). Then this enormous box arrived. I was shocked. I am not the type that wins in Vegas or gets the coveted gift in a white elephant exchange. I am not ‘lucky.’ Good things happen to me all the time, but not those serendipitous extra bonuses that some seem to have just fall into their laps.
But now, I just might be. Or perhaps Boo is. I was overwhelmed by their generosity. Overwhelmed.
Here is what the box included:
3 ft tall stuffed Scooby
2 sets of pajamas (that have been alternated everyday since Boo received them)
2 t-shirts (that have been worn as soon as they come out of the dryer)
2 sets of boxer shorts (Boo’s first introduction to boxers; he loves them)
3 sets of the mini Mystery Mates figurines
Scooby toothbrush
set of the Mystery Crew figurines
Camp Scare DVD (which has now been added into heavy rotation with the rest of our Scooby DVDs)
First Frights Nintendo DS game
Spooky Swamp Nintendo DS game
Mystery Machine Ghost Patrol
and the 2nd to the best thing: the Mystery Mansion Playset
The absolute coolest thing that they sent:

A personalized, autographed drawing of Daphne and Scooby. Boo went nuts when he saw it. He has told everyone he knows, and many that he doesn’t. He is so excited. And thinks it is awesome that people he doesn’t know liked his costume so much that they wanted to send him surprises.
I cannot possibly convey how grateful I am to them. It was so kind, generous, unexpected, and wonderful. My little Boo could not be happier.
Thank you, Warner Bros, Thank you very much.

I’m going to cry from how sweet the picture is. ;_; *sniffle*
Well, I just realized I spend too much time on Facebook as I wanted to “like” this post and was sad I couldn’t. :-)
I teared up reading this. I’m so happy that what was a negative experience initially has led to so many positive things for your family.
Now that was very cool of them! Hooray for Boo & his amazing Mom!
This fills my heart with joy!
Love it!!!
That is awesome! It’s good to see good things happening to good people for a change! I’m so happy for Boo =)
Listened to you on KCUR today. You sound like a wonderful mom and I just had to start reading your blog after the interview. Glad Warner Bros hooked Boo up.
Scooby is awesome. Our guy and pre-teen are not afraid to admit it!!
I’m so glad that you had the nerve to post so other women will have the courage to follow suit. Your son is very lucky to have both a fighter for a mother and a great example to follow.Kudos to Warner Bros for showing appreciation of the publicity.
Wow that is amazing! My daughter would let it go to her head and expect to be showered with gifts every time she wore a costume lol
That is so cool! No January blues for Boo….
This is truly made of awesome. I hope the eleven continues to bring blessings, abundance, love & joy to you and yours!
with love and admiration from one of your many internet fans!
LOVE IT! Amazing how much good is happening in the world because of one little boy!
I am very impressed at Scooby’s penmanship.
that is SO awesome! I’m all verklempt!
What a wonderful surprise for Boo :)
LOVE YOU - LOVE BOO now LOVE WB TOO!!!! ENJOY!!!
Now you just need the scooby doo haunted mansion game. It’s a haunted mansion (you build after you open the box kind of like mouse trap but it stays together after that) that as you wind your way up and through various ghostly incidents happen to your playing peice, like collasping stairs, vibrating walkways, dropping net, etc. It’s too cool.
This is amazing! I can’t make out the name of the artist who drew the picture..can you share it with us??
Very inspiring story..right on mom!
Awesome news! It’s nice when these sort of things happen to people. Myself, my mother and the rest of our family hope you, Boo and the rest of your family enjoy your Scooby surprises!
that was just freaking awesome news- the kid deserves it…he did nothing wrong and was treated with the kind of behavior we teach our kids NOT to use…good for him and awesome for Warner Bros!
That is so wonderful! My daughter is becoming as huge a fan of Scooby and the gang as Boo. in fact, she’s asked for a “Skew-dee Doo dog” birthday party for her 3rd birthday next month. You can be sure that we watch just as much SD as Boo too! Congrats to Boo…and that drawing is super cool :o)
This is awesome. SO awesome. You are a great mom, and your Boo is going to be a great kid. This is yet another response that helps kids to understand the world is bigger than we realize, and the little things, the oh so painful little things in our world, like catty mothers, mean classmates, etc - are just that. Temporary, little things.
I’m so glad that all these great things are happening to you guys!
Keep up the great work you do at being a wonderful Mom!!
That’s totally cool!!
LOVE the drawing too - awesome!
That was a great suprise and a wonderful gesture by Warner Bros.!
Ditto what Strepsi said. :) Warner Brothers has my undying respect now.
Big hugs to Boo and the rest of you!
This is so awesome of Warner Bros. I can imagine how excited Boo must have been about all this stuff and the autographed drawing. Such a cool idea from Warner Bros. And Boo and you totally deserve to be ‘lucky’ this time.
Your original post — and your son — touched my heart, and this is pure icing. Delicious icing. Cheers.
P.S. It’s not too early for Boo to start planning his next Halloween’s Hermione Granger costume…

;)
I’m so happy for you ! Sometimes wonderful things happen when you’re allowed to be yourself. Kudos to WB !!
I don’t always love corporate anywhere, but that most significantly rocks. And I love the way you “won” something when you are not always “lucky”. Everybody wins once in a while, one way or the other (and having good things happening is winning, but I get what you are saying, it is nice to win “raffley” kinds of things … random fun).
Plus, there is something that is inherently yummy and kind and warm and thoughtful about this package and what your blog entry was all about. I was already having a good day, but this just made it like Christmas for me. Silly, but there you go.
heaven!
Super Kewl !!!
[...] Boo’s mother is pleasantly surprised by a care package. [...]
Sweet…
Brilliant :D As you say, WB rock! :D I can just imagine how chuffed Boo (and yourself) must be! This has definitely made me smile. woohoo! :D
Yea WB, Yea Nerdy Apple, Yea Boo! I see there are still some negative vibes here. Ignore those idiots, uh, I mean, bigots, no, I mean non-humans…You Go Nerdy Apple, you and Boo and your whole family ROCK! WB just went up 100 degrees in my esteem. Enjoy, Peace, and Joy!
That’s so awesome! =) It made me really happy to hear this. Thanks for sharing!
Good to hear such a large company would do something like this. Warner Bros. & Boo FTW!
Once again your post has made a bright spot in my day. What an awesome thing WB to do for your Boo. Certainly made points with me. I’m a little envious of the boxers and PJ’s! Enjoy your bounty Boo.
Yep, made my morning. Hooray for Boo and yay for you! Perhaps all-round a salutary lesson in the pains and joys of living as one’s true self insists.
What a very cool thing for Warner Bro’s to do for Boo!!! I’m very impressed with that company now. :)
This post absolutely made my day. I’ve never even met your son, but boy am I excited for him!
Horray for you and Boo! You are an amazing mother, and Boo is an amazing little boy!
Yay for Boo! What a lucky boy!
My son has just asked me to buy this stuff for him. We’re adding some of it to his wishlist.
That is awesome of them! (and for your son!)
This post made me smile :) Your Boo must’ve been so ecstatic when he saw all these!
That’s absolutely wonderful! You both deserve it very much.
