Kiva

I love Kiva.

Last year when my income tax refund came in, I set aside a little to donate to Kiva. It was so fun.

I love being able to look at all the different people in all the different countries that are looking to better themselves. It’s amazing.

And my $25 here and $25 there can actually make a difference.

I’ve loaned to men and women and groups. I’ve loaned to Eastern Europeans and Africans and South Americans and Asians. I’ve loaned to a butcher, a baker, but not yet a candlestick maker.

And the great thing is you get your money back. If you want it. Or you can just turn around and loan it back out.

I have some money I need to reloan, but this time, I’m going to let Harper in on it. I think she’d totally love it. And maybe I’ll get our Girl Scout troop to donate some and follow its path.

So the moral of the story is… go to Kiva.org and loan something. Anything. Seriously, every little bit matters and you’ll feel great about it.

I know I sure do.
